PERFORMER:

FLIP PHONE

Ah, the flip phone era. Boy bands topped the charts, Outkast kept things fresh and clean, and Destiny's Child were still together and wearing whimsical outfits designed by Tina Knowles. This glorious decade spanning 1996 to 2006 comes to life once a month at Honey's underground dance party in Northeast, an LGBTQ-friendly event that will bust you out of your usual night-at-the-bar rut.

PEARL (RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE)

Pearl Liaison, or simply known as Pearl, is the stage name of Matt James, a drag performer from Brooklyn, NY who was a runner-up on Season 7 of RuPaul's Drag Race.

SPECIAL GUESTS:

DJ FANCY RESTAURANT

DJ Fancy Restaurant (aka Chad Kampe) hails from Western Massachusetts. He can be seen monthly at Honey for FLIP PHONE. Flip Phone is a party dedicated to the "Flip Phone era" of music. His big parties include tributes to Beyonce, Robyn and Janet. DJ Fancy Restaurant also moonlights at drag sensation, Joy Veh, the Jewish Matchmaker.

TYGRA SLARII

Tygra was Tristan at first—a “Marine brat,” she says, growing up in Scottsdale, Arizona. She went to college in Omaha, Nebraska, where she studied nursing. And there, one night in a bar, she saw a drag performance.

THE OTHER JEANNIE RETELLE

My journey with unscripted theatre is one of chance. I started in 2013, when my mother (The Original Jeannie Retelle) signed me up for classes at Washington Improv Theatre in Washington, D.C. To be blunt, she wanted me to stop crying to her on the phone, about how I didn't have any friends in the city. And it worked. But after completing a year of training, I moved back to Minnesota, and figured that fun and different and exciting part of my life was over.
