THE DRUG BUDGET

Living legends The Drug Budget are a ten-piece garage orchestra fronted by fraternal step-brothers David W. Gibson and Linus Kangas. Formed in 2009, they have worked consistently to become the Midwest's must-see live performance, described by The Current's Dave Campbell as "my favorite band" and by Brother Ali as "better than me." The Drug Budget recently released the band's sixth studio recording, Into Entertainment (2018).

SLOPPY JANE

Sloppy Jane is an 8-to-11 piece music project led by Haley Dahl out of Brooklyn, NY (originating in Los Angeles). An ever-evolving lineup of players, friends, and collaborators. Elements of the live show include: laughter, choir vocals, xylophone, saxophone, kazoo, television, slide whistle, vomiting blue dye, a naked body, a rotting suit, guitar, bass, drums, tambourine, ruby red slippers, violent shifts in genre and speed, a make-believe maestro, and a set that does not stop moving once it has started.

THE CONTROVERSIAL NEW 'SKINNY PILL'

The Controversial New 'Skinny Pill' is in Minneapolis and does non-drowsy, hypnagogic, psychic bedroom social pop. Utilizing lofi straight-to-tape recording strategies, band lead Skyler Nowinski (Rupert Angeleyes, Loud Sun) creates warm and woozy, wah-wah drenched, relentlessly rhythmic party songs and weirdo pop grooves joined by Mariel Olivera (XOXOTech, IE) on synths, Dan Dukich (Daniel Bonespur) on bass, and Alana Horton (Tony Peachka, Bella Yaga) on drums.

THE FLORISTS

The Florists are three friendly people (Jo Kellen, Jared Hemming, Luke Michaels) from Minneapolis. They play noisy pop songs about kitchens, seraphim, and the way you comb your hair. Coming off of their 2016 release Can You Feel The Stasis?, the Florists released their follow-up EP, No Costume, in April 2017 and completed their first national tour. Combining spastic arrangements, catchy, rhythmic hooks and an intense live presence, this trio storms the stage with manic glee.
