Clark

Clark started off the evening with his set of experimental post-rave EDM. The soundscape this set evoked images of clean refined heavily produced house eroded and rusted through the inevitable onslaught of time until it produces the raw savage sound of a post-cyberpunk dystopia. This soundscape then proceeded to reach technological singularity and absorb and incorporate the sounds of other devolved EDM subgenres.

LED SCREENS WITH RANDOM VAPORWAVE A E S T H E T I C S. LIGHTS. SYTHTHESIZERS MY DUDES.

Ahem.

Com Truise rounded out the evening with his set of synthwave with soundscapes and visuals straight out of neo-Tokyo; which is just like normal Tokyo, but has sweet motorcycles, cyborgs, neon signs for days, and got way too excited when it read William Gibson’s Neuromancer. Com Truise earned the crowd’s favor by starting the show off by playing many of his hits, as indicated by the man next to me shouting “Oh My God he’s playin’ all the bangin’ ass hits back to back boiii!” I would have noticed this as well, but I was distracted by the synthesizers and thinking about being a sweet cyborg in the 80s vision of what the future was supposed to be like.
