PRIDE 2017

Jun 21, 2017

Pride weekend in the Twin Cities is full of rainbows, organizations tabling and aggressively asking for your email, and a great parade (Sunday June 25th at 11am). But where’s the music?

On Friday June 23rd, Nomad World Pub is hosting a Pink Out! Benefit for Planned Parenthood featuring Nightchain, Ayvah, Gazda, Wild Age, and Everything’s Been Taken.

Also on Friday, Icehouse is hosting Soul Friday dj’ed by DJ Keezy and with several local soul bands performing.

Saturday night the 24th, there is a Take Back The Night event on the Northrop Plaza beginning at 4pm. Lady Midnight supported by Seaberg will be at the 7th St Entry Saturday (doors at 8).

On Sunday the 25th there is a Beyonce inspired daytime rooftop party at the Union Rooftop in downtown Minneapolis dj’ed by Miss Brit.

The Gay 90’s is having their usual 18+ weekend with a foam party on Friday night and an all-you-can-eat brunch on Sundayfrom 9am-11am.

Additionally, the 90’s is hosting a Latinx Pride Xplosion on Thursday the 22nd and a live show by Roxxxy Andrews on Friday the 23rd. At Pride Fest itself in Loring Park, there will be four stages, a tent, and a beer garden.

The full music schedule can be found at Some of the highlights are The von Tramps on Saturday at 3:30pm at the Loring Stage and Jamecia Bennett Sunday at 5:15pm, also at the Loring Stage. City Counselor graces the Rainbow Stage on Sunday at 1:15pm and DJ Mickey Breeze holds down the fort between sets all day Saturday and Sunday (12-6pm) at the Power to the People stage. The beer garden is hosting 4 three-hour DJ/producer sets on Saturday and Sunday. Finally, be sure to watch for the Radio K van in the parade on Sunday at 11am!
