Tomorrow Will Be Better

The End, Part 2

May 10, 2017

Well folks, it’s come to this. It’s the end of your beloved host’s three years as the sole showrunner here at Division by Zero. At times, running the show got to be a bit too much, seeing as I was the only person to make sure we had a fresh and cool playlist each week. But somehow, I made it work and made the show a source of the weirdest, most experimental, and even the most bangin’ tracks in electronic music today.

The show not only allowed Radio K to fill a niche in which it was lacking, but also it helped me grow as a music fan and eventually into a sort of actual DJ. And even in the last semester, I’ve done a monthly live mix! Admittedly, my skills are rudimentary, but at least I had a lot of fun doing them! I also hope you all had fun listening to them too. (By the way, if you wanna peep those mixes, go to my Mixcloud page.)

Anyways, saying goodbye to what has definitely been my baby for the past three years is incredibly hard to do, but we all have to grow up and move on to bigger and better things. You actually won’t see me in the Twin Cities area for much longer, because your boy is going to graduate school and hopefully live his best techno self in Boston.

If you have been listening to Division by Zero for the past three years, I cannot thank you enough for giving this little show on a weekday night the time of day. It means a lot to me, really. And if you only started listening recently, don’t worry! The show will continue on with a new host (and at an earlier albeit shorter time on Tuesdays from 7-8pm), in whom I have full confidence to carry out the show’s mission of bringing the best and weirdest electronic music to your ears.

I don’t have much else to say without repeating myself, but really, thank you to everyone at Radio K and to you, listener, for making Division by Zero what it is today. Good to have you all.
