This week’s set came after the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, which was great by the way. Personal highlights during the festival included seeing Deafheaven for a second time, Kendrick Lamar maintaining his position as king of the rap game, and being in front for The Field, Jon Hopkins, and FKA twigs. I also crowdsurfed for the first time during Hudson Mohawke’s energetic and absolutely crazy set. So yeah, the weekend was awesome.

But anyways, back to tonight’s set. I prepped the playlist before I went to Chicago because I knew that I wouldn’t have the energy or time when I return. I also got a call from a listener appreciating the Ricky Eat Acid track I played, and I appreciated that too! Don’t hesitate to call in during the show, at 612-626-4770! I New music tonight included stuff from The Soft Pink Truth and his new album of electronic covers of black metal staples and a great disco track form Las Vegas native Shamir.
