Revelation, Madness & Improvisation
I got to spend all of Thursday at Willie Nelson's Ranch in Luck Texas.
This was incredible. A, hopefully not, once in a lifetime experience.

Saw a TON of great music. I played in the afternoon with Nikki Lane.
The vibe was right and the set was tight. A great start to the day.
After Nikki... Clear Plastic Masks played. They are currently my favorite band and
they lit up the stage like a Christmas tree on the first day of February. ABSOLUTE FIRE.
Gotta check this band out! Also saw Hurray for the Riff Raff, Lucius, J Roddy Watson, Lukas Nelson & of course the man himself. Mr. Willie Nelson played a set. It was fantastic. A 10 song set that included some covers and a sit in by Billie Joe Shaver. YEE HAW!
I also ran into my good friend and last of the country gentleman, Mr. Josh T. Pearson.
Texas is defined by men like Josh. It is hard to distinguish between the two.
After a long day we headed back into town and went to bed. GREAT DAY.

Friday was a real busy one for me. It started off with an in interview w/ Sloucher Zine. Samuel aka Sloucher is an awesome dude i met in Sheffield UK. He resides in Mexico City. Check out his opinions. Then it was off to an Actual Wolf set at the Rock the Cause Party at Liberty Bar. Scott Herold puts on a fantastic event and is a good human being.
He's one of those guys that makes you believe & is always a champion of the underdog.
From there it descended into showcase/work madness. I thrive on this type of pressure but it's also tremendously draining. I got a brief break around dinner at ingredients. I played a solo set there and it's my favorite place in Austin. They support community gardening and local farmers.
Back into the insanity... 6th street was INSANE! Too many people, too much liquor... Absolute chaos. Pure sensory overload.
Things getting turnt up at ingredients
I got a text from my friend Mark during one of my nighttime showcases to see if I had time to sing on a few tunes at his showcase. It was tight but I did... So I hustled to Central Presbyterian for the Pitchfork Showcase. A few songs turned into a whole duo set. Really cool. A Friday highlight for sure. Thanks to Real Estate for letting me borrow your drums/cymbals. You guys really made that possible.

6 showcases in the bag... I wandered down the hill, grabbed a quick slice and headed to bed.
One more day to go. WOLF OUT!!!
