SKSW Guest Blog: The Blind Shake pt.2

Mar 15, 2014

The Blind Shake play the quietest Blind Shake show of all time.

Played Brooklyn Vegan day party at the Red 7 and had a great time. Got free vegan t-shirts, some vegan water, but no vegan food. The applause was made up of living human meat. Organic.

Played the Castle Face Records party and had a great time. An excellent two-piece band to check out is Yvette from New York. Also, POW from San Francisco and Twin Steps from Oakland.

Had a super late night show at the Volstead for the Panache Booking Showcase. The quietest Blind Shake show of all time. After 24 bands using the same backline of gear, most of the amps were blown out. But the crowd seemed to enjoy seeing us as two mimes and a drummer. We still had lots of fun.

The highlight of the day was seeing The Coachwhips, a huge influence on our band, play outside during the Panache Showcase. They reformed for some shows as they put out their back catalog on Castle Face Records.
