Well, we've done it again on this week's episode of Sound Grammar. OH BOY HAVE WE DONE IT AGAIN! We played SONGS, we played PIECES, we played TUNES, we played TRACKS, and man oh man did we play some CUUUUUUUTZ. New music from Dave King Trucking Company's recently released album Adopted Highway. That album really rules. Dave King is a legend and anytime he releases new music its a momumental moment in my life. We heard Nina Simone's powerful version of Kurt Weill's "Pirate Jenny" from the Threepenny Opera. I played Wanda Jackson's rockabilly tune "Funnel of Love" because its not jazz and I just wanted to show all of you listeners that I don't have to play by ANY of your rules, got that?! I mixed a track from Max Roach's percussion project M'Boom with a bit of doomsday oration from Elizabeth Clare Prophete_c_prophet.jpg

It was a speech called "Dedication to the Tackling of the Beast and the Dragon- The Momentum of Rock & Roll" off of an album called Sounds of American Doomsday Cults Vol. 14 AND LEMME TELL YOU SOMETHING...I didn't play that sample out irony, I played it because the rhythm of her voice is musically interesting, alright?! ALRIGHT?! Anyway there was a bunch of other good music. I wish you could listen to an archive of it. Maybe someday. May be some day....
