DinosaurFeb - 03 - 14
Swedish musician Linnea Olsson brings a beautiful twist to the music she writes. Although the songs themselves would be excellent with any instrumentation, it's her skill with the cello that truly elevates "Dinosaur" to the next level. Check it out below!
Giant PeopleJan - 31 - 14
From the Minneapolis based band, Human Kindness, from the album You Are So Loud That I Want To Die, the band manages to bring in a great raw energy to indie rock that is somewhat reminiscent of the Arctic Monkeys or even early Modest Mouse. They all flow very well together and create some quality tunes that are definitely worth checking out, and for those of you that actually live in the area, you may even get the chance to see the band live! Check out "Giant People" below!
RomeJan - 30 - 14
When you're another artist in the now popular indie-electronic genre, it can seem a bit hard to stand out in the sea of other aspiring bands. And while they use many of the common tropes heard by all, Snowmine manages to stand out from the crowd and bring a very exciting new vibe to the genre. The track Rome is no different from this attitude for the Brooklyn based band, and effectively brings a great new sound that will leave you wanting for more.
Do The ShadowJan - 29 - 14
With a speedy guitar and high pitched vocals, Jack Name makes a huge splash on the scene with today's track of the day. It's a catchy speed punk song that you have to try hard not to turn up. I know after I first heard it, I had Do the Shadow stuck in my head all day, and I'm sure you will too.
WeJan - 28 - 14
Coming off of Dog Bite's sophomore release, Tranquilizers, We is an amazing step in the sound of Phil Jones. As the keyboardist for Washed Out, he brings his own version of the band's sound to the forefront with a beautiful selection of electronic and drone like vocals creating something that is all his own. Turn it on and let it take you on an adventure as you drive through the city at night for a lovely experience.
