Poolboy is a slow-burning, atmospheric alternative band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their songs are hosts to entities they don't quite understand. In 2017, they were named City Pages' Best New Band. Forming in early 2015, the band released a self-titled, self-produced EP in February of 2016, which was mastered by Huntley Miller (Bon Iver, Now, Now).
Har-di-Har is a Twin Cities-based dream-pop/psychedelic-folk duo that play intricately-composed music for voice, guitar/bass, and keyboard while simultaneously splitting the drumset between the separate hands and feet of each member. Strong melodies, complex harmonies, and spacious soundscapes, combine to create a stimulation of the senses played as three-legged contests are won.
By the time he’d moved to Minneapolis at 20 years old, you’d have thought Con Davison was just a wandering music school drop out. He moved into a house with too many people, and got random jobs at mediocre places. Music had subsided to no more than a quiet hobby to cope with the woes of being young and away from home. But, almost accidentally, musical favors turned into consistent involvement, and Davison slowly stumbled his way into the Twin Cities music scene, first lending his drumming to numerous projects (most recently Bad Bad Hats and Dreamspook) and now onto his first solo effort.
