Aghast Into Silence By His Own Noise
Nov 03, 2013WOO DOGGY did we have ourselves a burner of a show this week! Started off with a song by Angles that truly made me convulse in agonizing joy the first time I heard it. We had some more gut busters from Jimmy Lyons (featuring some fantastic free jazz bassoon from Karen Borca) and Thomas Chapin Trio. But it wasn't all fun and dissonance this week, LORD NO! If someone walks up to you and says, "Well, ______, I hate to say it, but it was all fun and dissonance this week on our favorite radio show, Sound Grammar," you can tell that someone that he or she is bearing false witness! Yes, we heard pleasant, sentimental songs from Jakob Bro and BABs for goodness sake! Anyway, I'm trying to cook up a pretty neat in-studio sesh for November. More info on that to come. For now, love and space to all!
