In this episode of The Listening Show, reporter Emma Chekroun speaks with Houston rapper Fat Tony, and takes a look at Prince’s 1986 album “Parade.” While Prince was releasing the Parade album, he was also releasing his directorial debut and the album’s accompanying film, “Under the Cherry Moon.” The film flopped, and Prince broke up with his band The Revolution soon after, but despite the tension, Prince managed to release a musically challenging and commercially successful album.
