Wild Pink - Still Coming Down
Still Coming Down is John Ross's sixth studio album under the name Wild Pink. It continues the trend he started on 2024's Dulling The Horns of leaning into noisy heartland rock. (Pitchfork described it as if Dinosaur Jr's J. Mascis produced a Bruce Springsteen album lol) The sound is dense, blown-out and expansive, with details like a sweet swelling lap steel and harmonica on top. Like Dulling The Horns, this new record was produced by Alex Farrar of MJ Lenderman/Wednesday fame. Perfect road trip record.

Brennan Wedl - Brennan Wedl
(pronounced Brennan W-dell)
LOCAL (ish) Originally from MN, now based in Nashville. This is her second album, and label debut for ANTI. Her gorgeously rough voice brings a grungy edge to these sour-sweet pop country tunes. The album was co-produced by Katie Crutchfield of Waxahatchee, and Wedl spent last winter opening up Katie and MJ Lenderman on their co-headlining tour. Wedl was previously a member of the internet-famous Queercore group Dazey and The Scouts.

Nirosta Steel - MY SKYSCRAPER
Archival release from Scottish-American artist Nirosta Steel, aka Steven Hall. Hall was a frequent collaborator of the cult-famous composer Arthur Russel, but this release focuses on his solo work from the last 40 years. It's a really eclectic mix of art-pop and mutant disco. For being an archival release, it feels very contemporary and fits in quite well with the sort of glitchy, sample heavy laptop twee that is so popular right now.

Paul Spring - Barnstorm
LOCAL (ish) Singer-songwriter, originally from Saint Cloud now based in NYC. The album was recorded in County Galway, Ireland. The songs incorporate bits of folk, classical, and chamber pop.

Kiwi Jr. - Blowin' Up
4th album since 2020 by this Toronto based indie rock band. Also their label debut for K/Perennial ! The album is post-punk leaning but in a slightly cute/twee way.

Squirrel Flower - Say A Prayer To The Gods of Getting Going
Chicago based singer-songwriter Ella Williams has been making music as Squirrel Flower since 2015. This new record is full of soft dreamy vocals and glimmering guitars with a slight alt-country bend. Out on Polyvinyl records.
